February 22 & March 29, 2017
This two-day workshop will examine the connections between several Measurement and Data and Geometry standards in Grades 3-6, as well as the instructional experiences students need in these grades to deepen their understanding and use of measurement. An emphasis on developing a strong conceptual foundation of length, area, and volume as measurable attributes will be built through the use of comparison tasks, standard and non-standard units, and measuring instruments.
